Editorial policy
Every page here is written by one person and calculated by one engine, under a single rule: symbols are a language for paying attention to your own life, never a forecast of it. This page says what that means in practice, names the schools the calculations follow, and marks the lines that do not move.
What we publish
A guide, a calculator and a retreat page look nothing alike, but they answer to the same standard. Here it is, stated plainly enough to hold us to it.
Tarot, numerology, astrology, human design, dreams, crystals and chakras are treated as vocabularies for self-observation. A card names a situation you are already standing in. A number names a pattern you already run. No page here claims a symbol causes an outcome, and no page reads a symbol as permission to stay somewhere that hurts you.
Anything with a figure behind it is calculated for the exact moment and place you enter: planetary positions, house cusps, lunar phases, return dates, cycles. Nothing is copied from a printed table and rounded into shape. Where a figure cannot be computed honestly, the page says so instead of inventing one.
When a question touches a body, a bank account or a contract, the page stops and hands you to someone qualified. Nothing here diagnoses, treats or replaces a doctor, a therapist, a lawyer or an accountant. That is not a legal shield at the bottom of the page. It is how the pages are written in the first place.
Our sources
Every tradition on this site has more than one school, and most sites quietly pick one and present it as the truth. These are ours, in the open. Where practitioners genuinely disagree, the page gives both readings rather than hiding the argument.
Tropical zodiac and Placidus houses, the working standard of modern Western practice. Sign boundaries are computed from the Sun position for your birth moment, not read off a fixed calendar, which is why a cusp birthday can land differently here than in a magazine.
Rider Waite Smith, first published in 1909, drawn by Pamela Colman Smith. Every card meaning follows that imagery, upright and reversed, and the artwork shown on the site is that same deck rather than a modern redraw.
Pythagorean numerology, the Western letter-to-number system. Master numbers are given in both schools: the one that keeps 11, 22 and 33 whole, and the one that reduces them to 2, 4 and 6. Pages show both results, because both are in honest use.
The canon of the system as its founder published it, unchanged and unimproved: type, strategy, authority, profile, defined and open centres, channels and the sixty-four gates. Where the canon is silent, the page stays silent too.
GeoNames for city coordinates and time zones. A birth time is resolved to the right place and the right historical offset, including the daylight-saving rule in force on that date, because an hour of error moves a rising sign.
Planetary and lunar positions come from an astronomical engine and are checked against published JPL ephemerides. Figures are verified against ephemeris data rather than borrowed from another website, so a chart calculated here matches a chart calculated by professional software.
What we never do
Most of the harm in this field comes from a short list of practices that are profitable and indefensible. We name them so you can hold the site to its word.
No dates, no test results, no verdicts, no naming the year a thing will happen. A symbol describes the shape of a situation and the direction you are carrying it. It does not know a schedule, and anyone who says otherwise is selling certainty.
Nothing here is medical, psychological or psychiatric advice. Crystals do not cure, breathwork is not therapy, a chakra is not an organ, and no reading is a reason to stop a treatment or skip an appointment.
No countdown discounts, no last-seat pressure, no number that moves depending on how long you hesitate. A retreat costs one figure, the same for everyone, and what it covers is named next to it.
No paid rituals to bring a person back, no love spells, no readings sold to someone in the middle of a crisis. That trade takes money from grief, and it is the one part of this industry we will not touch.
No written-to-order reviews, no testimonials borrowed from other businesses, no invented star ratings or follower counts. When a retreat has no reviews yet, its page shows none and says nothing in their place.
Corrections
Editorial pages carry a written date. If a calculation, a source or a fact turns out to be wrong, the page is corrected and the date moves with it, rather than the error quietly staying up. Corrections go to hello@retreatcurator.com.
