Start with temperament, not verdict
Read both sun signs as two speeds and two appetites. The question is not whether they match, it is where each of you naturally goes when tired, bored or in love.
Look at the friction on purpose
Every pair has a seam. Name it while things are calm, in plain language, and you convert a recurring fight into a known difference that both of you can plan around.
Then go past the Sun

Can I trust a compatibility percentage?
No. A percentage is a number invented by whoever coded the page, and there is no measurement behind it, no scale it belongs to, and no way to check it against anything real. Ninety one percent and sixty four percent are both storytelling. Read the description of how the two temperaments meet, ignore the score, and notice that the text is usually more honest than the number attached to it.
Do zodiac signs decide relationships?
They do not. Relationships are decided by whether two people tell each other the truth, repair after fights, want roughly the same decade, and keep choosing each other when it is inconvenient. Astrology can give you vocabulary for the differences, which genuinely helps some couples argue better. Using a chart to end something that works, or to excuse something that hurts, is the one way to make it harmful.
What matters more than the sun signs?
The Moons and the way they handle each other in a bad week, Venus and Mars for desire and rhythm, Mercury for whether conversation feels like rest or work. Beyond that, the houses your planets fall into in each other's charts, which describes where you actually show up in one another's life. We are supposed to be incompatible. Is that a verdict?
It is not, and the traditional lists were built on element logic rather than on couples. Plenty of long marriages sit on combinations that every table calls difficult, because difficulty is not the same as doom, and similarity is not the same as love.
