What is this horoscope built on?
The real position of the Moon on that date, read against your sign. The same date and the same sign always give the same reading, so yesterday can be checked against today. Events, names and numbers stay out of it, because nothing in the sky knows them.
Why does the same horoscope apply to millions of people?
Because a sun sign text is by definition a text for one twelfth of the world, and we are not going to pretend it is personal. What it can honestly offer is a shared weather report, the mood of a day as it meets a certain temperament. Anything actually tailored to you needs your birth time and city, which is a chart, not a daily column.
Should I read the horoscope for my sun sign or my rising sign?
Read your sun sign for the motive of the day and your rising sign for how the day will meet you, and notice which one sounds more like your life. Many people find the rising sign version more accurate, because houses are counted from it. If you do not know your birth time, stay with the Sun and lose very little.
What should I do if the day described does not match mine?
Close the page and trust your own day, which is the correct response and always was. A horoscope is a prompt, and a prompt that does not land is simply the wrong prompt for you today. Treat any text that makes you anxious, cautious or obedient against your own judgement as a text to walk away from, ours included.
