Crystals for Stress
Lepidolite, smoky quartz and amazonite are the three most often carried for stress, with blue lace agate, prehnite and green calcite alongside. These are pocket stones, not shelf stones. Stress arrives during the day, in a corridor or a car or a message thread, so tradition keeps this set on the body. The purpose is narrow and worth saying plainly. It gives your hand something to do while the first wave passes.
The six
Which six stones does tradition name for this?
Six, not sixty. Each one carries a different reason, so you can pick the reason that sounds like your week rather than buying the whole row.
Lepidolite
The first name in every stress list. Soft lilac, slightly greasy to the touch, and the touch is the point. A restless hand settles on texture faster than on meaning.
Smoky Quartz
Described as turning the brightness down. It is given to the stress that is a pile of small things rather than one large thing, the kind you cannot name.
Amazonite
The boundary stone of the soft group. Lore gives it to stress that comes from other people's urgency arriving as if it were yours.
Blue Lace Agate
For the stress that lives in the throat, the unanswered message and the call you owe someone. Holding it while you finally reply is the traditional use.
Prehnite
Pale green and translucent, a quiet stone with a specific job. It is associated with unclenching, with the shoulders you did not notice you were holding up.
Green Calcite
Soft green, cheap and pleasant to hold. Tradition uses it for the recovery day after the hard week rather than for the hard week itself.
The practice
How do you work with the set?
Keep the stone somewhere you can reach without standing up, a trouser pocket or a bag pouch.
When something lands, take it out and do one thing only, breathe out twice as long as you breathe in, four times.
Then put it back.
Stress rituals fail when they get elaborate, so keep this one boring and repeatable.

Questions
What else do people ask about this?
Is there a stone for burnout?
The tradition points to green calcite and prehnite for recovery, but burnout is a load problem. If rest does not fix it, the answer is fewer hours, not more crystals.
How often should I clean a carried stone?
Once a week under cool running water is the usual answer, and mainly it is hygiene. Lepidolite prefers a dry cloth instead, since it is layered and soft.

Two ways on
A need is one door in, a stone is another.
Six names, and behind each one the tradition that gave it the job and the plain limit of what it cannot do. The body reads the same set differently, and the seven centres are that reading.
- 104
- stones, each with what tradition says
- 64
- everyday uses, six stones under each
- 7
- centres, the same set read through the body
