Crystals for Anger
Amethyst, blue lace agate and howlite are the three stones traditionally kept for anger. None of them are meant to remove it. Anger is usually accurate information about a line that was crossed, and the goal is not to delete the signal but to slow the reaction so what comes out is a sentence rather than damage.
The six
Which six stones does tradition name for this?
Six, not sixty. Each one carries a different reason, so you can pick the reason that sounds like your week rather than buying the whole row.
Amethyst
Its oldest association is sobriety and a cool head. People keep it for the slow burning kind of anger that turns into rumination at two in the morning.
Blue Lace Agate
The stone of the lowered voice. Anger arrives in volume first, and holding something while you decide what register to use is a practical intervention.
Howlite
Traditionally kept to stop the internal argument. It is the stone for the fight you keep winning in the shower three days after it actually happened.
Rhodonite
Here because most durable anger is a wound underneath. Its black through pink is the honest picture of something that hurt and then hardened.
Lepidolite
The softest stone in the set, and easily damaged. People keep it in a pocket as a reminder that a reaction, once out, is not easy to repair either.
Hematite
Cool and heavy in the hand, which is a genuine physical anchor. Squeezing something with weight gives the body somewhere to put the charge for a few seconds.
The practice
How do you work with the set?
Keep the stone in a pocket you can reach without looking.
When anger arrives, hold it, breathe out twice as long as you breathe in, and delay the reply by sixty seconds.
Then say the thing, calmly and in full.
This is a slowing practice, not a silencing one.
Anger you never voice comes back louder.

Questions
What else do people ask about this?
Is anger something I should get rid of?
No. Anger tells you a boundary was crossed and is often the most accurate feeling in the room. The problem is never the feeling, it is the delivery. Work on the sixty seconds between them and leave the signal alone.
What if I am angry all the time?
Then it is not really a temper problem. Constant anger usually sits on top of exhaustion, grief, pain or a situation you have not let yourself name. A stone will not reach that, and talking it through with someone will.

Two ways on
A need is one door in, a stone is another.
Six names, and behind each one the tradition that gave it the job and the plain limit of what it cannot do. The body reads the same set differently, and the seven centres are that reading.
- 104
- stones, each with what tradition says
- 64
- everyday uses, six stones under each
- 7
- centres, the same set read through the body
