Peach Moonstone: Meaning, Properties and How to Use It

Peach moonstone is the warm, soothing member of the moonstone family, given to worry and to harsh self-talk. Traditions describe it as comforting rather than intuitive, the stone of being kind to yourself on an ordinary bad day. It is often the first stone given to anxious people.

What tradition says

What is Peach Moonstone known for?

The apricot to soft orange colour comes from iron in the feldspar, and the best material shows a gentle silvery sheen across a warm body. Sri Lanka and India supply most of it. Crystal practice split the moonstones by colour and mood, and peach took the domestic end of the range: the evening after a hard shift, the stretch when a person is being unreasonably strict with themselves about very small things.

The practice

How do you use Peach Moonstone?

Keep it somewhere in reach at the end of the day rather than at the start.

The usual practice is to hold it and name one thing you did well, out loud, however small.

Worn as a bracelet, it becomes a touch point for the moment you notice you are being hard on yourself.

Two more

What does Peach Moonstone pair with?

Stones are kept in small sets rather than alone, and these two are the usual company for this one.

Questions

What else do people ask about Peach Moonstone?

Is peach moonstone dyed?

Usually not — the colour is natural iron. Suspect dye if the orange is loud and uniform, with colour pooling in surface cracks. Natural material is pale and slightly uneven.

Can I wear moonstone every day?

In a pendant or earrings, yes. Feldspar cleaves easily, so rings take knocks badly and chip along flat planes. If you want a daily ring, choose a protective setting.

Two ways on

One stone is a reminder, a library is a map.

A hundred and four stones and sixty four everyday uses, sorted the way a week arrives. If you came here through the body rather than the mineral, the seven chakras are the other way in.
